Bible Study at First Baptist Church of Progress Village is a time for believers to grow deeper in God’s Word, strengthen their faith, and learn how to apply biblical truths to everyday life. Whether you are a lifelong Christian or just beginning your walk with Christ, our Bible Study is designed to encourage spiritual growth, foster fellowship, and equip you for Kingdom living. Here you will find Sunday classes, weekly courses and resources to help with your continued growth in God’s Word.
The ultimate goal is to develop Christ-like character and to have the church family become “doers of the Word, not hearers only”. James 1:22 (KJV)
The purpose of our Bible Study ministry is to create an environment where believers can come together to study God’s Word, gain spiritual understanding, and grow in their personal relationship with Him.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Bible Study is open to everyone – members, guests, families, and friends. Whether in-person or online, all are welcome to join us in studying God’s Word.

NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION
In the Bible, 2 Tim. 2:15 teaches that we should "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." Below is a list of just a few of the educational opportunities available. As members of the first family, you can also take advantage of the Christian education classes designed for all ages begin from the day you join throughout your spiritual maturation.
C.L.A.S.S. 101
Salvation, Baptism and Communion, along with the purposes, structure and affiliations of our church.
C.L.A.S.S. 201
Ensures that every member at FBCOPV has the necessary tools for spiritual growth by focusing on four basic habits every Christian needs to grow to spiritual maturity.
C.L.A.S.S. 301
Takes each member through a process to discover how his/her S.H.A.P.E. or unique blend of Spiritual gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, and Experiences can be used in ministry.
SHAPE Interview
Part 2 of 301, each member will discover his/her unique S.H.A.P.E. to minister to others in our church and community.
C.L.A.S.S. 401
Dedicated to helping FBCOPV members learn to openly share their faith, discover their life mission, and realize how they can serve both in our community and in the world.
FAITH BIBLE INSTITUTE
The Faith Bible Institute (FBI) is a 3 year journey through the Bible course; students study every book in the Bible chronologically.

The FBI website is fbiclass.com. The enrollment option is only for 1st time students (who has never registered for the course). Former students must complete an application.

We have early enrollment dates for each semester; (by July 1st for FALL or by November 15 for Spring). The discount is between $20.00 & $33.00. Individuals may register at any time by completing an application, and paying the $20 (nonrefundable) application fee.
