Overview
The CL Sloan Scholarship honors the legacy of Mr. C. L. Sloan by supporting higher education for deserving members of our congregation and community. Awarded annually, this scholarship empowers students pursuing college, university, or vocational training.
Giving Deadline This Year May 18, 2025
Giving is accepted year-round, however, the official campaign with recipients is until May 18th.

ELIGIBILITY & SELECTION CRITERIA

Church Involvement: Applicants must be active participants in FBCOPV ministries or programs.

Academic Achievement: Minimum GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale).

Leadership & Character: Demonstrated leadership roles and positive community impact.

Financial Need: Preference given to applicants with demonstrated financial need.

Essay Submission: Reflecting on personal goals and how education will advance both their future and the Kingdom.

Deadline: October 31
Interviews: November, as needed
